I am 37, today!
Sunday, February 19th, 2006TODAY, I’M 37!
20 February 2006
“Wina, Happy birthday! May God bless all your days…btw, how old are you now?” the common things you will hear on your birthday.
Some people, mostly women after 25, always find the ways to not to tell their age. They do not like this question and they also do not like to answer correctly.
They never like to write their real age, except for formal application form. If you join friendster, you can see, how many of them are writing their real age. The teenagers write their age older than the real one and the adult prefer to write nothing or younger than their real age.
Why? Why they do not like to tell their own age? Why most of them feel shy to show the right thing about their age? Why some of them prefer to say their old younger than the true one? What are they afraid of?
Are they afraid not to be young any more? Are they shy to be old? Or it is because they want to be young forever? Is it because young people more attractive than the old ones?
How about you?
For me, myself, I never lie about my age. I am always proud to tell my own age. I find no reason to lie about it.
Today is my birthday. I am thirty seven years old now!
Why I have to be shy only because my ages become one year older?
Wow, Wina! You are 37 now, but you still single?
Most women at your age already has some kids. What are you waiting for? When will you get married?
O, are 37? Single?
I am 23, I want to get married. How could you still single at 37?
37? Oh, no! Please hurry. You have to find someone!
37? What’s an old!
It is common comments you will hear from common people.
Yeah, most women at my age already get married and have children. They already have a good career and happy family. Especially, in my country
Indonesia and my hometown Aceh.
So, only because most people already get married at my age and I am not, should I be shy to tell my age? Because I am not 25 anymore, should I lie about my age? To make people (especially men) become more attractive about me, should I pretend I am younger than my real age?
What’s for?
I am lying or not, I am still 37. I find nothing to be shy or to be afraid about it.
Thanks God, you had give me 37 years old to live in your world!
Thanks God, for everything you had given me during my 37 years!
Thanks for my mom for open the world to me. Thanks for both of my parents who take care of me and bring me to be here now. Thanks for all my relatives, friends who always pour me with sunshine. Thanks for everything I had and I will have.
I feel grateful about my age.
I am 37 now. How about you?
I am 37, single and happy. So, what?
It is not common, but I am proud of it. Yeah, maybe it is because I am not an ordinary people.
The only things that make me shy are because I did not do anything special until now. I am 37, and I am still nobody and do nothing for my people. How did I spend my years in the past? Why I did not take this opportunity to do something better and to be someone better.
I am 37 now. It is not too late to start to do a better thing.
I believe…
God created us with a special thing. That is made all of us different. Everybody has their own way to live. Some people become success at very young age and some at the end of their ages. Some people live in a common way. Born, getting older, enjoy teenager time, get married, has children, happy family, has grandchildren, etc.
Some of people are not. Whoever you are and however you’re live, just believe, God has a good plan for all of us. What we have to do are to be proud of it, belief and try to find our happiness.
Today, I am 37 and I am happy!
Alhamdulillahirabbil ‘alamin! Thanks God for everything and hope you always blessing me with your love and happiness.
Today, I am 37. So, happy birthday to me!
